THE Atlantic Coast Orchestra is a symphonic musical grouping that has had a regular schedule since March 2015, 2015, when it first performed in concert.
The orchestra brings together instrumentalists of high technical and artistic level in a formation of singular excellence in the Portuguese music scene.
Made up of sixty professional instrumentalists, the Atlantic Coast Orchestra can be reduced or expanded according to the specifics of each concert program. In this way, the orchestra can interpret a wide repertoire, which extends from Baroque to contemporary music, ballets, operas or film soundtracks, ensuring an intense and versatile artistic activity.
In each season, the Atlantic Coast Orchestra performs a regular series of concerts in different venues across the country. Through the concert activity and the creativity of the programs it presents, the orchestra performs a decentralizing function in people's access to classical music. It also contributes to attracting and training new audiences, and generates an indisputable cultural and social value for the communities and territory where it presents itself.
The Atlantic Coast Orchestra is Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Luis Miguel Clemente , recognized as one of the most charismatic, talented and stimulating conductors of the Portuguese music scene.
